Elevate Dance Academy is a newly etablished Dance School in Manchester that aims to instil a great passion within its students. We strive to give the highest standard of training to boys and girls aged 3 years and above, whilst maintaining a safe and encouraging environment.

Amelia had a clear mission in mind when founding Elevate Dance Academy, to provide a growing school where each student is provided with the highest standard of training in an encouraging and positive environment. This will enable each student to achieve their full potential. Some children attend Elevate Dance Academy purely as a hobby and exercise, we help these children develop their social skills, confidence and enjoy a fun approach to learning and training. We also provide a wonderful platform for those wishing to go into a career within the industry.

We have a huge passion for what we do and thrive to see our students progress and more importantly enjoy their time with us.

Our story

miss Amelia

Founder

Amelia has danced from the age of 3 training in Ballet, Tap, Modern Jazz , Ballroom, Latin and many other styles. At the age of 18 she gained a place at Phil Winstons theatre works college, on a 3 year dance and musical theatre course where she also gained her IDTA teaching qualifications.

Amelia auditioned for P&O cruise lines and was lucky enough to graduate and go straight onto dancing on board cruise ships for headliners theatre company, travelling the world.

Amelia has also danced in production shows around the world and in Christmas shows, events and fashion shows in the UK. You may have also caught her in TV Commercials.

Amelia has always had a passion to teach with over 12 years teaching experience and wants to pass her knowledge and love for dance to the younger generation of aspiring dancers.

Our Classes

StrEeT Dance

We offer classes from 3+ working on building confidence, performance and learning new routines.

Ballet

Main school from 5 years following the IDTA syllabus working towards exams Preparatory- Grade 5. Ballet is a core subject and helps develop strength, flexibility , coordination, discipline, elegance and Grace.

Tap

Main school from 5 years following the IDTA syllabus working towards exams Preparatory- intermediate. Tap is a core subject and develops timing, rhythm and coordination.

Begin to EleVate

This is our programme for our littlest students ages 3-4 years. The class Introduces the foundations of Ballet, Tap and Jazz in a fun, nurturing environment.

Musical Theatre

We offer classes from age 6+ Dancing, singing and acting through song. We learn group numbers and work on different peices each term.

JaZz, Contempoary, Lyrical

We offer classes from age 5 following the IDTA syllabus working towards exams and also working on free work, technique and routines aswell as developing students creativity with improvisation and choreography tasks.
